The Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly added running back Carlos Hyde, safety Rayshawn Jenkins, and a slew of others in a surprisingly quiet start to free agency.

Hyde agreed to a two-year deal for $6 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Jenkins, who hit the market after four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, secured a four-year contract, reports Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.

The Jaguars entered the negotiating period with the most cap space in the league and were expected to be major players on the market but stayed away from splash signings early on.

Hyde, the most recognizable name in the group, will return to Jacksonville for a second stint with the franchise. The seven-year veteran finished the 2018 season in Duval County after being traded from the Cleveland Browns. The 30-year-old played for the Seattle Seahawks last season, rushing for 356 yards and four touchdowns in a backup role.

Jenkins started 31 games over the last two seasons in Los Angeles, recording eight pass breakups and five interceptions.

Jacksonville went a league-worst 1-15 in 2020 and is expected to use the first pick of the draft on Clemson quarterback prodigy Trevor Lawrence in April.
