Report: Bengals signing Hendrickson to 4-year, $60M deal

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson to a four-year, $60-million deal, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports, which includes $32 million in the contract's first two years.

The Bengals make the move after losing Carl Lawson, who reportedly signed a three-year, $47.4 million deal with the New York Jets. Each player ended up signing for $15 million per season.

A role player in the first three years of his career, Hendrickson started in 15 games in 2020 and enjoyed a breakout season. The 26-year-old recorded a career-high 13.5 sacks after putting up 6.5 sacks in the three seasons prior.

Hendrickson also put up 25 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss, and 25 tackles.

Lawson was the Bengals' fourth-round draft pick in 2017 and racked up 20 total sacks during his four seasons in Cincinnati.

The Bengals finished last in the NFL in sacks in 2020 with 17.
