Haldimand County OPP charge driver in fatal December crash
Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 23-year-old man with careless driving offences in a fatal crash in Hagersville in December.
Roy Strohm of Jarvis was killed in the three-vehicle collision at Haldimand Road 55 and Concession 12 Walpole shortly after 6 a.m. on Dec. 11.
The 61-year-old was reported to be trapped and unresponsive, said Haldimand County OPP. He was transported by paramedics to hospital, where he later died.
The two other drivers in the crash suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The road was closed for about eight hours for the investigation.
On Tuesday, March 16 OPP announced they have charged a 23-year-old Arthur man with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm.
He's expected in Cayuga court at a later date.
