getting sandisk sd card up and running
by tonj from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FDTN)
I bought a sandisk 32gb extreme pro micro sd card (off ebay) that doesn't work properly but I'd like to get it going. I got a refund without having to return it so I still have it. This sd card shows up as a 2Tb drive in my card reader which is nutty. I have other microsd cards and they all read correctly so I don't think its the card reader. I'm running centos 7. Is there any software I can get that will zap this card or sort it out so it reads and writes correctly? or should I be using a different card reader? if so which one?
I've tried zeroing the card with dd but it ran for 2 days without completion and I ended up just stopping it. gparted live (1.0.0.2) also cannot seem to write to the card. thanks for any pointers.
