The Tennessee Titans released cornerback and former first-round pick Adoree' Jackson, the team announced Tuesday.

The Titans also cut offensive tackle Dennis Kelly.

Tennessee previously exercised the fifth-year option on Jackson's rookie contract, but that $10.244 million was only guaranteed for injury. The Titans selected him 18th overall in the 2017 draft.

Jackson made 41 starts over four seasons, collecting 33 pass breakups and two interceptions. He spent most of the 2020 campaign on injured reserve but returned for Tennessee's final three regular-season games and the team's playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

With Jackson gone, the Titans face even greater uncertainty in the defensive secondary. The club previously released fellow cornerback Malcolm Butler, a starter for the last three seasons, and starting safety Kenny Vaccaro.

Kelly, meanwhile, started all 16 games at right tackle in 2020 after spending most of his career as a backup. He spent five years with the Titans after a three-year stay with the Philadelphia Eagles.
