Marquise Goodwin's contract reverted back to the San Francisco 49ers after terms in the trade with the Philadelphia Eagles weren't met during the 2020 season, the receiver's agent told Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

The 49ers sent Goodwin to the Eagles last April in a deal that also involved a swap of sixth-round picks. However, the speed threat opted out of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

San Francisco must send the Eagles its original seventh-round pick this year, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Goodwin returns to San Francisco, where he played from 2017-2019 and recorded 1,543 yards and seven touchdowns. He has two seasons remaining on his three-year, $19.25-million deal.

The Eagles will gain $4.28 million in salary-cap space as a result, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic.
