Report: Bills, Sanders agree to 1-year, $6M deal
The Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders agreed to a one-year contract, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Sanders' deal carries a base value of $6 million and includes another $500,000 in incentives, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The New Orleans Saints haven't officially released Sanders yet due to cap reasons, but the move is expected to occur Wednesday, Pelissero adds. The veteran will reportedly fly to Buffalo on Thursday to undergo a physical and finalize the contract.
Sanders turns 34 on Wednesday. He caught 61 passes for 726 yards and five touchdowns through 14 games in his first campaign with the Saints.
The Bills will be Sanders' fifth team. He also had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2010-13), Denver Broncos (2014-19), and San Francisco 49ers (2019).
Sanders earned two Pro Bowl nods during his time with the Broncos (2014, 2016) and helped Denver win Super Bowl 50. Overall, he's amassed 662 career receptions for 8,619 yards and 47 touchdowns.
The Bills recently parted ways with receiver John Brown, but their receiving corps still features All-Pro wideout Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley.
Buffalo's offense ranked second in scoring and third in total yards last year.
