Ubuntu 20 package managers are confusing me.

Hi dear helpers and thank you,
I switched from Windows to Ubuntu 20.04 a couple months ago and am very happy about it, but Ubuntu's package managers have me confused. There is Apt and Dpkg and Snap and Ubuntu Software and maybe more. Can you refer me somewhere that explains how they work together, or do not, how to avoid contradictions and unnecessary copies?
Right now I need to remove and reinstall Wine but they all report they cannot find my Wine installation for removal. But Wine is there. It runs my game and responds in the Terminal. How can I clean this up and avoid this mistake in the future?
