It appears the Chicago Bears' "aggressive" offer to the Seattle Seahawks for Russel Wilson may have been an unprecedented one.

Chicago's package for a potential Wilson trade included three first-round picks, a third-rounder, and two starters, a source close to the team told national radio host Dan Patrick.

The offer interested Seattle, but the decision to decline was made by head coach Pete Carroll rather than general manager John Schneider, Patrick adds.

The source didn't know the starters included in the proposal.

Wilson hasn't requested a trade from the Seahawks, but he's gone public this offseason about his displeasure with the number of hits he's taken behind his offensive line and not being involved in team decisions.

In February, the star quarterback's agent said his client would waive his no-trade clause for the Bears, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, or Las Vegas Raiders.

Chicago quickly pivoted following the rebuffed offer, signing Andy Dalton to a one-year deal Tuesday. However, general manager Ryan Pace may not be finished attempting to upgrade the quarterback position.
