Report: Colts re-signing Marlon Mack
The Indianapolis Colts are re-signing running back Marlon Mack, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Wednesday.
The deal is a one-year, $2-million contract, Pelissero adds.
Mack missed most of the 2020 season after suffering a torn Achilles in Week 1. Prior to the injury, Mack had a feature role in the Colts' backfield. The 25-year-old reeled off a career-high 1,091 yards, along with eight touchdowns, in his 2019 campaign.
The Colts selected the South Florida alum in the fourth round of the 2017 draft.
Mack will likely split carries with second-year runner Jonathan Taylor. Indy spent a second-round selection on Taylor last spring. As a rookie, he rushed for 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 36 receptions for 299 yards.
Meanwhile, the Colts officially announced their acquisition of quarterback Carson Wentz, who projects to succeed the retired Philip Rivers.
