Copy/paste highlighted text with middle click works less often than in the past

Hi,
-current64, vanilla or multilib, fresh installs.
It's been some months that I've noticed that I sometimes have to highlight multiple times a text in order to put it in the clipboard, then allowing me to middle click to paste.
As the most recent example, selecting an URL in Firefox then copying it in a text file didn't work at the 1st try.
I also got that behavior in other circumstances.
In the past, that was smooth.
Any idea about this ?
