[SOLVED] dd w/o conv=sync

If you use conv=noerror instead of conv=noerror,sync when copying a windoze OS disk, and there's a read error, the output will then be "shifted" because no nuls were written for the read errors?

This I assume would mess up the OS being cloned as files would now land in not the exact same location as the source?
