Problem with gphoto2 on slackware64 -current : Set camera date/time

I use this command regularly, with my digital camera connected via USB to my PC: Code:gphoto2 --set-config datetime=nowThis sets the camera date/time to match the PC time. (I do this so photos will have an accurate timestamp that can be used to geolocate the photo with a separate GPS-recorded track.)

It worked last week. Starting today, instead of setting the camera date/time from my PC it sets it to 1/1/YEAR 00:00:00 (where YEAR varies by camera). It does this every time, for different cameras.

What changed since the last time it worked? (1) Recent Slackware64-current updates, but this does not include a gphoto2 or libgphoto2 update; and (2) change to Daylight Saving Time.

This has me stumped. Does anyone else use this command? Does it work?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=kqyFz_yTv14:MF2nmed55bY:F7zBnMy latest?i=kqyFz_yTv14:MF2nmed55bY:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=kqyFz_yTv14:MF2nmed55bY:gIN9vFwkqyFz_yTv14
