cell phone file xfr to slack 14.2 ?

Hello:
Trying to find a way to backup photos, text files from Samsung phone running android 5.0.1 to slackware 14.2 64-bit (no kernel upgrade). Desire a USB solution, phone will not recognize Slackware installation as a USB host / client or whatever. Seems nearly impossible from brief searches online, cannot find anything simple on slackbuilds.
Any thoughts?
