The Green Bay Packers are bringing back cornerback Kevin King on a one-year deal worth $6 million, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

King will likely continue to pair with top cornerback Jaire Alexander.

The 25-year-old has endured an up-and-down career since the Packers drafted him in the second round in 2017. He enjoyed a stellar 2019 campaign, grabbing five interceptions and recording 15 pass breakups, but struggled to carry that form into 2020.

King suited up for just 11 games last season due to injury and did not intercept a single pass. King's struggles came to a head during the Packers' NFC title-game loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; he was burned for a long touchdown before halftime and flagged on a controversial pass interference call near the end of the contest.

The former Washington product is the second player to re-sign in Green Bay. The club brought back running back Aaron Jones on a four-year deal worth $48 million before free agency officially kicked off. The Packers have yet to sign an external free agent this offseason.
