GIMP "Not Authorized" To Take Sceenshot
by frankbell from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FQ8X)
I tried to take a screenshot with the GIMP on my new ThinkPenguin laptop today for the first time and got the following error message:
Code:GIMP Message: Execution error for "screenshot":
GDBus.Error.org.kde.kwin.Screenshot.Error.NotAuthorized.
This process is not NotAuthorized to take a sceenshot You can see a screenshot of the error.
I was, however, able to take a screenshot with Kolourpaint.
Per /etc/release, the machine came with "Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid" installed with the default Gnome DE, and I installed and have been using Plasma.
I tried a web search for "GIMP not authorized screenshot" and variations thereof, and found lots of information about how to take screenshots with the GIMP, but nothing, at least in the first few pages of each set of search results, about not being able to take screenshots with the GIMP.
I'm hoping someone can point me towards what might be responsible for this error. (As aside, I frequently use the GIMP to take screenshots, and have not encountered this before.)
