The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, along with its provincial counterpart, are inviting local businesses to lend a hand with the COVID-19 immunization rollout through the Ontario Vaccination Support Council's recently launched online portal.

Volunteers from Hamilton's business community can support the effort through their time, or by lending storage space for vaccines and physical space to vaccinate the public and employees. The online portal also connects businesses seeking to donate spare personal protective equipment to recipients in need as part of the vaccination effort.

As we look to get back to full economic and social activity, this is our next, best opportunity to bring this pandemic to a close by helping alleviate some of the burden placed on our public health system and its heroic professionals," said Keanin Loomis, president and CEO of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, in a press release Tuesday.

The portal is intended to create two-way communication" between local public health units and the private sector, and provide information to the general public.
