/etc/ntp/drift.TEMP file error
by Exaga from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FS48)
I am using Slackware ARM current but guessing that this exists in Slackware x86 as well. If not then I'm sorry to bother you guys with it.
I keep seeing this reccuring entry in '/var/log/syslog' from time to time...
Code:Mar 24 18:03:40 kron ntpd[774]: frequency file /etc/ntp/drift.TEMP: No such file or directoryTo fix it, I changed the drift file path in '/etc/ntp.conf' to '/var/lib/ntp/drift' = solves the problem because that dir is owned by 'ntp'
