I wonder if they found a more suitable candidate,

or if they decided to not fill the position,

I searched around LinkedIn for two days, and I do not see anyone who started working at that exact position. I was able to find 10ish people who currently serve as the security analyst at that company, and they all started in 2019 or earlier. I also accept it is possible whoever got the position instead of me, simply has not updated his LinkedIn profile.

My friend just received his own rejection letter for another position at another company and his rejection letter stated the position has been filled with a different candidate

I was able to find a guy currently working as the security analyst for that exact company, and I sent him a message over facebook, and he responded to me. I also showed him my full CV and cover letter I sent to the HR of the company. He told me he recognizes my sincere desire to work at that position, but I need more experiences possibly at a different company, and my concentration did not quite match the needs of that position.

This company overwhelmingly prefers bilingual candidates because more than half the customers are from outside the country, and bilingual workers can assist those customers very effectively, and in both my CV and cover letter, I clearly stated I am bilingual who can definitely contribute.

This position received exactly 0 candidates over linkedin. I also accept other candidates possibly applied over the official website of the company which is what I did.

My question is, what happened? Did they find a better candidate to fill the position, or did they choose not to hire anyone for the position?
