Hamilton residents 60 years and older can now book COVID vaccines
Hamilton has dropped the age limit for COVID vaccines by 10 years.
In a press release Tuesday morning, public health said residents 60 years and older can book their shots, effective immediately."
To book an appointment, individuals born in 1961 or earlier should visit hamilton.ca/VaccineBooking. Residents without internet access or a valid health card can call the city hotline at 905-974-9848, and press 7.
The news comes after a spike in unfilled appointments at the city's mass immunization clinics over the long weekend and into Monday. Previously, the age limit expanded by five years at a time.
Hamilton now joins Toronto and Peel region, which allowed people 60 years and up to book appointments from Friday.
