wifi card RTL8821CE RealTek -- no driver
by Bob1515 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5G9EC)
I'd like to get away from the arrogance of Windows and their forced updates that damage computers and consume many hours to fix. So yesterday, I spent a lot of time acquainting myself with Linux by installing Porteus on a bootable USB stick.
After 3-4 hours, I discover there is no wifi driver. I don't want to spend additional hours and hours learning git and 'make' and then deal with the errors and everything else, which is all that any advice consists of so far. Is it not possible to just download a bin file somewhere and put that in /modules and then be able to run Firefox? Thanks.
...........I've heard that kernel 5.9 might have the driver. How can locate that and download it?
