Current bug: rc.font when booting to init 1
by upnort from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5GBQ3)
On a test partition with the latest Current packages, when booting directly to init 1 I will randomly see one to three blank lines with the rc.font stdout spew (from rc.K).
The bug does not manifest when booting to init 3.
Normally when booting to runlevel 3 I see the following:
Code:Setting the console font:
Loading 256-char 11x22 font from file /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/ter-122n.psf.gz
Loading Unicode mapping table...When booting directly to init 1 there will be one to three blank lines between the two "Loading" messages.
I cannot replicate when running rc.font manually in runlevel 1.
I have not yet tinkered with other font options. I have not tested with a fresh install from scratch.
I never have seen this behavior and through my years I boot often directly to init 1 for testing purposes.
Any ideas?
