VNC VIEWER will not let me log into another machine anymore!!!

All of a sudden, my vncviewer is not bringing up my raspberry pi im trying to log into.
It has ALWAYS worked before and I've never had a problem with it.
But now, every damn time I try to log, it says "The port on which the computer is listening for a connection could not be contacted.
I've tried stopping and restarting the vncserver several times over again as sometimes I'll forget that there was a previous connection and when I stop it, it says it killed a stale connection. Then when I start it again, it usually lets me log into the raspberry pi from my phone hich has Andronix on it and has worked a charm a hundred times before.
I've also tried ssh'ing into the computer which it allows me to do but when I try to incorporate the GUI into it with the VNC viewer, it consistently says the qhiole "The port on which the computer......etc"
What in the hell am I doing wrong here and WHY will it NOT work. Very frustrating. My god!!!
