File manager that shows file names?

I am looking to open my files lists and see the names of files not just numbers. In Windows my file manager shows names of MP3 Downloads, but Manjaro and Mint, MX Linux with KDE, XFCE and MATE do not show the name and author, only file numbers, so In Linux how can I cause them to show?
