TIFU: Can't run slackpkg

wget: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryI upgraded some packages and got the message that I had a lot of duplicate packages with different versions on my computer. I did a slackpkg remove on all the older packages, not thinking to upgrade them first. Now I get the above error.
Is there a way to recover?
