Ubuntu 20.10 super slow after booting for a while then picks it up.

So I'm on this cheaper laptop with Ubuntu 20.10 (Core i3 dual-core with 8 gigs of RAM) and it gets super slow for a while after booting. I set up full disk encryption at the time of install so the setup is ext4 over LUKS over LVM. I have some Snaps, some Flatpaks, and Steam installed.
The system for a while after bootup is super slow like I can barely browse the web and I get like 7 fps on this Native game I play but after 20-25 minutes it becomes faster and it performs as well as before I put Ubuntu on it and used Manjaro (without disk encryption) and I start getting like 60+ fps on the same game.
I have no idea what is happening. Is this related to the encryption? I've tired removing gnome-software and the snap-store but to no affect. Any help would be amazing.
