After upgrade to -current xfce4-terminal can not switch encoding
by Pakhomov from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5GXWP)
I use -current branch of Slackware64 and XFCE4 desktop. My main locale is ru_RU.KOI8-R. Yes, I am a dinosaur, I use not utf8 characters in terminal. The preview upgrade was 2 April. No problems.
I work in xfce4-terminal which can switch encoding for viewing the contains. The default encoding is KOI8-R.
After upgrade of 19 April the xfce4-terminal stopped working. It shows only UTF8. Any KOI8-R symbols look as "?????". But in the settings default encoding is KOI8-R. Switching to another encoding does not work. I use ttf font Liberation Mono in the terminal that support Cyrillic symbols well. In this time the URXVT terminal work normally.
I see that xfce4-terminal was upgrade only 16 Feb. So, the problem in the libraries. I see the dependencies by icu4c, vte.
How to fix it?
