Wind warning issued for Hamilton and area on Friday

Environment Canada updated it's high wind warning for the city, Niagara, Burlington and the GTA. Wind gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour Friday are expected to continue into the evening. The warning was orginally issued around 5 a.m.
These strong winds will toss loose objects and may cause some tree branches to break. Isolated power outages are also possible," said the weather statement.
Cold northwesterly winds are strengthening early Friday and are expected to continue into the evening before tapering off, the warning added.
According to the weather service, Friday's temperatures will remain steady near 6 C and there is 30 per cent chance of showersin the early afternoon. The overnight low Friday into Saturday could drop to -1 C.
