Bucs make Grant Stuard 'Mr. Irrelevant' as last pick of 2021 draft
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers concluded the 2021 NFL Draft by making Houston linebacker Grant Stuard this year's "Mr. Irrelevant."
The 259th overall pick was a First-Team All-American Athletic Conference selection last season, recording 61 tackles and five tackles for a loss during the 2020 campaign. Stuard also led the American Athletic Conference with 8.7 tackles per game.
The former Cougar isn't the only "Mr. Irrelevant" on Tampa Bay's roster - he joins kicker Ryan Succop, who earned the nickname after being the last pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Stuard rounds out a Buccaneers draft class featuring Joe Tryon, Kyle Trask, and Robert Hainsey, among others.
