Need a linux distro that does some older things

Please forgive the complexity of my post, and if I'm in the wrong forum, my apologies.

I need a desktop distro that does the following:

1. Has VMG -- a magnification program -- in its repository.

2. Has Wine 1.x availble.

I'vr tried to use playonlinux to get my Windows apps to run. No luck -- a nightmare. They work fine on Wine 1.x, but every distro I look at uses Wine 3.x and later.

Any insights will be appreciated. My desktoo is about six years old but runs newer distros, like the latest Mint (what I'm using now).
