OS for a Toshiba Satellite L770D

I have an old Satellite L770D in need of a new OS. I've been thinking of Arch or Mint. Haven't checked the system requirements, yet but I'm just starting to look around and thought, I would throw this out there. Any suggestions are welcome, let me know your mind.
