Cannot Set Wallpaper in Gnome 40
by PasBern from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5HG35)
Hello all,
happily upgraded to Fedora 40 and wanted to try GNOME 40. Now I realized that I can't set a wallpaper. When going to Settings and selecting either a picture already provided by GNOME or one of my own wallpapers, it will change it for the current desktop. But when switching to another desktop, this wallpaper is gone and I have only a black background. This goes for all desktops. I then switched from having GNOME create virtual desktops dynamically to a static number, the same issue.
Does somebody have an idea how I can troubleshoot this?
The currently installed version of GNOME is:
Code:gnome-shell.x86_64 40.0-5.fc34
