Tail command quits every day...

I keep a window open to monitor a server log 24/7. It's a simple tail -f command.
Every day at about 3:02AM, I come back to it to find a pipe broken message.
Same time every day.
Somebody know something about this that I don't? Is there something built-in somewhere that shuts it down?
