Frost advisory in effect for Hamilton
A frost advisory is in effect for Hamilton and most of southern Ontario this week.
Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory which is expected to continue through mid-week.
If you have flowers or tender plants outside you might want to cover them or bring them inside for the next couple of nights.
Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost," said Environment Canada in a statement updated on Monday morning.
The advisory includes Hamilton and most of southern Ontario.
It also says some areas near the lakeshore might not feel the affects of the frost or freeze because of steady winds on Monday night. It does say however that below zero temperatures are expected.

More of the same is expected on Tuesday according to the weather service. Daytime highs for Monday and Tuesday are 11 C.
The average temperature for this time of year is a high of 17.3 C and low of 6.1 C
Environment Canada says weather advisories for frost are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
