Hamilton teen seriously hurt in ATV crash

A 13-year-old was seriously hurt in an ATV crash near Binbrook Sunday night.

Hamilton police are investigating the crash, which took place shortly before 9 p.m. May 9 in a field near Highway 56 and Guyatt Road.

The ATV rolled during the crash, pinning the Hamilton teen, police said. The 13-year-old was trapped for an extended period before being located by family members."

Emergency services were called to the scene and the teen was transported by paramedics to McMaster Children's Hospital with serious injuries.

As of Monday, the teen remains in hospital in serious, but stable condition,
