The Green Bay Packers are signing veteran quarterback Blake Bortles to a one-year deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 29-year-old is set to reunite with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who was the offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars when Bortles helped the franchise reach the AFC title game in 2017.

The Packers' quarterback depth chart currently faces uncertainties, featuring disgruntled signal-caller Aaron Rodgers and second-year passer Jordan Love.

Green Bay has recently been trying to fix its relationship with Rodgers, who is frustrated with the organization over several issues, including its personnel decisions. The reigning regular-season MVP has reportedly told some of his teammates he doesn't want to return to the team in 2021.

The Packers surprisingly selected Love in the first round last year but the former Utah State star didn't see any regular-season action during his rookie campaign.

Bortles spent time with the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams in 2020 but didn't appear in any game. He previously posted a 24-49 record as a starter for the Jaguars from 2014-18.

Green Bay's in-person workouts are set to kick off Monday.
