Hacked and impersonated: Four of Ontario’s top health-care voices on being targeted and harassed on social media

Throughout Canada's COVID-19 pandemic, doctors and experts have become the heroes (and social media heroes) distilling information to the public. In Twitter's 2020 year-end roundup, they were highlighted as one of the top-growing personalities, with hundreds of thousands of followers watching daily, sometimes hourly, tweets from health-care professionals updating the public on COVID-19 numbers and their studies.
