Pro-Palestine rally in front of Hamilton city hall
Between 50 to 60 people gathered for a pro-Palestinian rally in front of city hall Friday afternoon.
Members of the Palestinian community in Hamilton were waving flags as motorists honked their horns at the event, which was held amid escalating tensions with Israel in the Middle East.
Police said similar protests are scheduled to occur over the weekend in several cities across Southern Ontario, including Hamilton.
At the Hamilton protest Friday, a 17-year-old Quebec man involved in the demonstration was arrested for dangerous driving.
Hamilton police said in a press release the man operated his vehicle in a dangerous manner" at the demonstration.
