Two loaded handguns, drugs seized by Brantford police
Brantford police say they seized two loaded handguns and $10,489 worth in illicit drugs from a Diana Avenue residence.
On May 14 around 11 p.m. police were called to a disturbance at Diana Avenue and Blackburn Drive where a man was seen pointing a gun at another person.
Soon after police arrested a man and a woman.
Police sought a warrant and the residence was searched. Tactical officers from the emergency response team and the K9 unit helped at the scene.
Police said they found:
- Two loaded handguns
- Approximately 635 grams of suspected Psilocybin (mushrooms) worth about $6,989
- Approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine worth about $3,000
- Suspected Hydrocodone worth about $500
A 26-year-old Toronto man faces 15 charges, including multiple firearm offences and uttering threats to cause death.
A 26-year-old Brantford woman faces three possession for the purpose of trafficking charges for cocaine, Hydrocodone and Psilocybin.
