[apt update] gpgv2 installed but reported missing.

Good morning.
Any attempt to run apt update" or to update in aptitude fails with the same error for each repository:
Err:4 http://ftp2.fr.debian.org/debian testing InRelease
gpgv, gpgv2 or gpgv1 required for verification, but neither seems installed"
However, gpgv2 is installed, currently version 2.2.27.
How can this situation be rectified?
