Establish both Internet Connection + Network Connection between 2 Virtual Machines

Hello Everyone!,
I have Slackware 14.2 installed on 2 Virtual Machines on Virtual Box. My task is to have both an valid internet connection and network connection simultaneously on the 2 Virtual Machines. I am having some difficulty in establishing this. I am either able to get it only pinging with no internet, or internet on 1 of the VMs and not the other, with no network connectivity. How would I go about this I understand 2 Network Adapters are to be used. Which of the 2 are to be used and in what order (Which is Adapter 1? Adapter 2?) and is port forwarding to be used?
Both 2 Virtual Machines should be on same network (ex. 192.168.10.0/24) VM1 has ip address of 192.168.10.1 and VM2 has ip address of 192.168.10.2 . I put both on internal network card and they are able to ping. But if I added a 2nd Network Card for internet the pinging wont work. Please guide me on to the right path.
