64-current vanilla, blacklisting modules

Hi,
I tried to blacklist the ipv6 module in /etc/udev/rules.d/ and /lib/modprobe.d/
as usual with a file called ipv6.conf containing "blacklist ipv6", but it didn't work after a reboot.
Any idea why ?
