Keyboard gets real flaky on current install (RPi3 SARPI 26MAY21 installer)
by arfon from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5JANX)
What happened:
1) dd'd the sarpi3-installer_slackcurrent_26May21_sp1 image to a known good uSD card.
2) The RPi booted fine.
3) Logged in as root and a "Hit ENTER to activate this console" type message appeared along with a regular prompt.
4) Try to type on the keyboard and NOTHING. Held the 's' key down and after awhile a 's' finally appeared. Held the 'e' key down and after awhile 'ee' appeared.
5) After fighting with it for awhile I got 'setup' typed and hit ENTER, the blue setup screen appeared and then it dropped back to console and froze.
6) I thought it might be a bad uSD so I bought a new Sandisk and the same thing happened...
7) I downloaded and installed the sarpi3-installer_slack14.2_29Feb20_sp1 image and it installed without an issue.
Anyone else having this problem?
UPDATE 1: The problem seems to be limited to the console. When you enable the networking and ssh to it, setup seems to work fine (so far, installing now).
