How to boot to Run Level 1, Single User Mode, in Fefora 33

I need changed my root PW and forgot it. Now I'm trying to change it at boot but can't get into Single User mode. Fedora 33 appears to be different so the instructions I find in search don't work. They have me break out of the Grub screen with an e, then make some edits and proceed with CTRL x, but that continues the boot to graphical, not Single User.
