Back-InTime backup produces one error daily
by sofasurfer from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5JKEZ)
I am using Backintime backup tool to backup my /home and /root folders.Everything works fine except that each and every day one of the multiple backups displays as "with errors!" I think this is a permission issue. I can have quite a few backups in one day and ONE of them will be "with errors!". Anyone else having this problem? I'm sure it is a common issue with other people but we shall see.
It appears that the error occurs because of lack of permission to open /root directory. and its always the first item listed in the log. And it is a very short log with only a couple /home entries after the /root entries.
When I have a good backup with no errors the /home entries come first (a long list) and then the /root entries.
I tried to post the logs using code tags but it did not work.
