Ubuntu studio with kde plasma compatibility?

Wanting to change desktop environment to KDE Plasma now. Ive seen some posts about issues with Ubuntu studio; which I have because my main pc usage is for guitar/ music production. I like all the apps that come default but not to fond of the D.E. overall? Input? Suggestions?
