A resident in their 50s died with COVID, while 30 new cases reported as Hamilton reopens

Hamilton reported one new COVID-19 death on Friday as the city continued its downward trend in cases.
A person in their 50s has died, the city's seventh in this age group.
Public health reported 30 new cases, down from 35 on Thursday. But public health's daily average for the last week is now 35, up from 33 the day before.
There are three new outbreaks for a total of 12 active outbreaks in Hamilton. Dundas Retirement Place is in outbreak as of June 10 with one resident and one staff case. YMCA Hamilton Men's Residence has one resident case.
Mission Services Men's Centre is in outbreak as of June 9 with one resident case.
