Dual booting Q4OS & MX
by DynV from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5K1AY)
There's a > 15 yo system I'd like to setup for a very low skill user. I'm afraid they (gender-neutral) are going to face some obstacle and have the reflex to ask me to fix it. I'd--much--rather the user to try to do a similar thing with the other distro before contacting me, with the hope 1/2 was sufficient. Or perhaps the user would just prefer the look & feel of one.
The user have either never used a *nix before, or spent very little time on one. I'd like for they to have a close look & feel to Windows while being capable to run on such an old system. I thing Q4OS & MX would be good choices. Actually... Maybe I should triple-boot with a Puppy just in case.
The system has 60 GB of storage. How would you suggest I proceed? I have the impression the user would prefer Q4OS, but you never know. My *nix experience is limited; I have installed a few ones before and managed to troubleshoot, more often than not with assistance.
Thank you kindly for your help
