change permissions for socket in snap

I would like to change permissions for
```
/var/snap/multipass/common/multipass_socket
```
and changed it successfully with `sudo chown root:mpass`
however, the change reverted back after reboot. How do i make it persistent?
do i need to terminate the socket beforehand?
