Slackbuilds unavailable

Since I couldn't find a proper form to contact website maintainers directly, I'll just pop a thread here and see if anyone had similar behaviour
When using my private connection to access, Slackbuilds fails to load with a generic timeout error. OK, I thought it was a one-off, maintenance, what-not, but having switched to use my company VPN to access resources on our network, which, by the way, is NOT blocking my regular Internet use, I found Slackbuilds available the same as I am always used to, in a blink.
It's irritating since I have to use Slackbuilds frequently, and my company's VPN limits my bandwidth somewhat, or files seem to stop downloading half-way for no apparent reason. That VPN is meant for access to company servers and not the Internet, and in agreeing with that, I would like to keep it disconnected when I go about my private business, roaming the deep and shallow webs :)
Has anyone experienced anything similar, and if so, what steps were taken to mitigate this?
